What began in October as an early morning visit to the Queen's Gallery has culminated in two successful costume shows. Working in collaboration with the gallery, I created an original character and costume to go with the exhibition "In Fine Style: The Art of Tudor and Stuart Fashion." My costume was inspired by the unequal exchange of cultures during the Age of Exploration and the beginning of the shift in history towards a whitewashed Euro-centric focus. A current student from Wimbledon College of Art modeled, and I thank Olivia greatly for her patience with the many fittings.
"In Fine Style: The Art of Tudor and Stuart Fashion" is on now at the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace. It will run till 06 October 2013.
